In a powerful demonstration of its commitment to nurturing future leaders, the Hezena Lemaletian Foundation (HLF) spearheaded a highly impactful Marginalized Youth Career Guidance Workshop 2025 in Maralal, Samburu County, on April 18, 2025. The theme “Education for All: Guiding Our Youth Towards a Brighter Future” was brought to life, giving Form Four leavers a second chance to dream again.
The initiative, held at the Maralal Polytechnic Hall, successfully reached over 100 enthusiastic youths, providing them with the tools and inspiration needed to navigate their career paths and embrace leadership roles.
The workshop, which aligns with the Foundation's mission to empower the marginalized, particularly women and youth, focused on essential themes such as identifying career opportunities, developing professional skills, and the power of education and self-belief. Attendees engaged in dynamic sessions led by experienced mentors, fostering a spirit of ambition and resilience crucial for success in the 21st century job market.
Senator Hezena Lemaletian, the Foundation's founder, emphasized the importance of investing in the youth of Samburu. "Our young people possess immense talent and potential. Our role is to light the path and equip them with the confidence to pursue their dreams fearlessly," she stated.
The event served as a critical platform, bridging the gap between academic learning and the realities of professional life, and encouraging the youth to become trailblazers within their communities.
